U. S. Steel and Jason Bay are "Swingin' for Charity!" Through the "Swingin’ for Charity” Program, U. S. Steel is making a monetary contribution to the Pittsburgh Ronald McDonald House every time Pittsburgh Pirate Jason Bay collects a hit during the 2007 season: singles are worth $100; doubles, $200; triples, $300; home runs, $400; and grand slams bring in $1,000! Last year, Bay and U. S. Steel contributed $30,300 to our House! |

Oreck Cleans Up with Monthly Promotion Each month, Oreck Floor Care Center at Robinson Towne Center hosts an Oreck Party to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House. On the day of the party, the store donates 15% of every system sale to the House. "One of my colleagues in Cleveland told me about this promotion they ran for the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House and I thought it was a terrific idea," states Lee Elovitz, manager of the Robinson Towne Center store, "We want to give back to our community and the Ronald McDonald House is a very deserving organization." Oswald Vending Makes Monthly Contribution Since 2003, Oswald Vending has been contributing to the Ronald McDonald House. With permission from owners and managers throughout the North Hills, Oswald Vending places vending machines, which serve gum, nuts, and candy, in a variety of businesses. The owner donates a portion of the proceeds from each vending machine in service. In addition, Oswald Vending has put a gumball machine in the Ronald McDonald House, maintains it regularly, and donates 100% of the money generated from the machine to the House. |

Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Shares Harvest Food Check-Out Day recognizes that it takes the average American less than 40 days to earn enough disposable income to pay for their yearly food supply. To commemorate the day, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau shared their bounty with the families staying at Pittsburgh Ronald McDonald House. Members from a 5 southwestern Pennsylvania counties donated 500 pounds of non-perishable food items and nearly $4,000 to our House. We know the food and money will go along way in serving our families. |
